ARS Eastern USA to Host Art Exhibit to Fund Educational Initiatives
The Armenian Relief Society (ARS) of Eastern USA, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate of the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Eastern United States, will host an art exhibition and reception at the Vahakn and Hasmik Hovnanian Hall at the Armenian Prelacy in New York on the evening of»Sat., April 2,»and on the afternoon of»Sun., April 3. This will be a selling exhibition curated by seasoned curator Vicki Shoghag Hovanessian, and will be an important source of»funding for the ARS’s educational programs.
Rooted in a common heritage and history, this exhibition will bring together the works of a wide range of contemporary Armenian artists.»On sale will be the artwork of prominent artists from Armenia and the diaspora, including Carzou, Reuben Nakian, Assadour,»Sarkis Hamalbashian,»Ararat Sarkissian,»Arevik Arevshatian,»Hamlet Hovsepian,»Vahan Rumelian,»Arture Sarkissian,»Arshak Sarkissian,»Gayane Khachaturian,»Simon Samsonian,»Rudik Petrosyan, and»Kegham Tazian. The exhibition and reception takes place on»Sat., April 2»from»7-10 p.m. and»on Sun., April 3 from»1-4 p.m.»at the Armenian Prelacy, 138 East 39th St., in New York. The event is free and open to the public.
