1 Thessalonians 4
Coming of the Lord
13Brothers! We do not want to leave you in ignorance about those who died so that you do not grieve for them as non-believers mourn without hope.
14 We believe that Jesus died and that He rose again, and that together, God will bring with Jesus those who died with faith in Him.
15 The Lord Himself said to us, and we now say this to you that we who will have survived to the time when the Lord comes, no way ahead of those who by this time already dead.
16 Because the Lord himself will come down from heaven (which would herald the sound team, the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God) and died with faith in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we, the survivors, will be raised with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and has always since that time will be with Him.
18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
