![]() Vartkes Sinanian passed away on Sat., Nov. 22, in Glendale, Calif. Sinanian was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, on March 7, 1926.
Sinanian is survived by his widow, Margo Sinanian; his son and daughter-in-law, the Honorable Judge Zaven and Armenia Sinanian; his daughter and son-in-law, Ani and Hagop Labejian; grandchildren, Daniel and Lori Sinanian and Patille and Sarine Labejian; as well as many loving cousins, relatives, and friends. Sinanian was a longtime contributor to the Armenian Weekly. His series of witty columns, “One-Liners from Chicago,” which covered aspects of Armenian community life in Chicago, were reader favorites in the 1970s and 80s. The Armenian Weekly staff extends its condolences to Sinanian’s family and friends. Funeral Services will take place on Sat., Nov. 29, at 9:30 a.m. at Glendale Forest Lawn, Church of the Recessional.
