ALEPPO (A.W.)—Two Armenians, Vera Giragosian-Kentimian,» 59, and her son, Harutiun Kentimian, 30, were killed in a rocket attack on Aleppo’s Nor Kyugh district on Oct. 16.
Aleppo-based Kantsasar Editor-in-Chief Zarmig Boghigian reported that the bodies of the two victims were found under rubble following the attack, according to Yerakouyn news. Another Armenian, Tavit Der Nersessian, was injured in the attack. The funeral services of the mother and son took place at the St. Mary’s Armenian apostolic Church of Aleppo. In May, the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) of Eastern USA called on its members and supporters to aid the Armenian community of Aleppo during the ongoing civil war. “Today, more than ever, the fate of all those who remain in Aleppo is in jeopardy, and we must respond immediately,” reads a part of the ARS appeal.
