10 These men speak abusively against whatever they do not know, but what they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals, so they destroy themselves.
11 Woe to them! They went the way of Cain, and rushed for profit into Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion.
12 These men are blemishes at your love feasts. Feast with you, they shamelessly care only about themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind, barren trees that were uprooted in the autumn, twice dead.
13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame, wandering stars, doomed to eternal darkness.
14 Enoch, a descendant of Adam in the seventh generation, prophesied about them: "Here come the Lord with thousands of his saints.
15 He is to judge all and to convict everyone for all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and all the harsh words spoken against him godless sinners.
16 These people always complain, not satisfied with their life. They go to their own evil desires, they rant and flatter those from whom the expected benefits. |
