Saturday 2nd of October, Rome hosted the final stop of Red Bull X-Fighters 2010 Series. More than 20.000 enthusiastic fans pushed the riders to their limits in the final battle for the title between Norvegian Andrè Villa and American Nate Adams.
The victory went to Spaniard Dany Torres who quickly became the spectators' hero.
The first time of Red Bull X-Fighters in Italy overcame the expectations. Tickets were sold out in few days, one months before the event and it created even more talks about the event and a lot of pressure in the last 2 weeks.
The activation plan included a 360° involvement of all Company's Departments with a strong focus on Field Marketing, On and Off Premise initiatives.
Strong media partnership with print media (Gazzetta dello Sport) and television (Mediaset) insured a prominent national coverage transforming the Red Bull X-Fighters into The Event of year in the Italian sport panorama.
Inside the Stadium Flaminio, a big course offered to the riders the chance to deliver great sport with a balanced mix of kickers, double jumps line, 35 meters jump, fun box, dirt ramp, ...
All details of the show made the rest. The lower part of the arena was decorated like a terrace over the city where, for the firts time at one RBXF stop, the riders and their friends had the chance to follow the competition from a special location and directly under spectators eyes.
Both on the course and the more reserved areas (e.g. riders garages, ...), we tried to reproduce the ancient Rome, but from a moderne perspective, just like you can really perceive it now walking in the city.
Side acts played around lifestyle and Italian passions, balancing motorsports (with an amazing appearence of a Red Bull Racing F1 car cruising on the dirt), history (a fight of Roman legionaries and one charriot against the riders), hirony (old Fiat 500 with Carabinieri livery chasing a group of 10 Vespas riding on the course) and national heroes (Red Bull rider and reigning MX Word Champion surrounded by 10 kids on minicross awarding the World Series winner Nate Adams).
The event kept an high level of energy from the beginning to the end thanks to an amazing light design, pyro show and a perfect music choice wich rocked the crowd for more than 2 hours.
Thanks to the strong commitment of the all Italian Team and the cooperation with International specialists we showed what makes Red Bull different.
