Armenia is a small land locked nation that borders the countries of Iran, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Once a former republic of the Soviet Union, Armenia suffered a terrible earthquake in the 1980's. The quake left most of the northern part of the country in ruin. While several countries tried to provide aid many were left with living in box cars or even no homes at all. Many lost their families and loved ones with no one to turn to.
Responding to this need that is still felt today Sister Veronika, who was born in Armenia, was given a vision from God to start the Bread of Life Ministry. In 2002 this church, Living Waters Church and Gospel Ministries Church came together to help support monthly the Bread of Life Ministry. Two bakeries are located in the capital city of Yerevan and in Vanadzor. Twice a week people come to the bakeries to receive two loaves of bread and some even take the bread to people who cannot leave their homes.
In addition to the Bread of Life Ministry we help support a newly constructed home for the elderly, the House of Hope. The House of Hope is located on land that Sister Veronika found outside the city of Vanadzor. The United States is one of only a few nations in the world that provides housing and assistance for the elderly. Many of these people were living in awful conditions can now live the last years of their life in peace and comfort.
