Arman Ghandilyan (b. 1997), Arayik Ordubekyan (b. 1997) Killed By Azerbaijani Fire

STEPANAKERT, NKR (A.W.)—Armenian serviceman Arman Ghandilyan (b. 1997) was killed by Azerbaijani fire on Sept. 7 on the northeastern direction of the Nagorno-Karabagh (NKR/Artsakh) Line of Contact (LoC). According to a report by the NKR Ministry of Defense, Azerbaijani forces violated the LoC approximately 30 times on the night of Sept. 6-7, firing more than 370 rifle shots on Armenia positions.

An investigation is underway to find out the details of Ghandilyan’s death.

A few days earlier, on the night of Sept. 2-3, another Armenian serviceman, Arayik Ordubekyan (b. 1997), was killed as a result of more ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani forces. During that time, Azerbaijani troops used various caliber weaponry, firing more than 600 shots towards the Armenian positions.

The NKR Defense Army declared that the Azerbaijani side will bear the whole responsibility for these attacks and their consequences.
