Actions, devoted to the 92nd anniversary of Armenian Genocide

In 1915-1923 the government of Ottoman Turkey planned and committed genocide of its own citizens of Armenian origin. The Ottoman Empire government crime took lives of more than 1.500.000 Armenians.
Turkish government started to realize its cynic plan at night of April 24, 1915. Every year this tragic date is commemorated in a number of countries all over the world in memory of innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. The Armenian Community of Georgia commemorates this date as the beginning of one of the most tragic events of the whole mankind history.
The Armenian Genocide is officially recognized by a number of countries, such as France, Germany, Russian Federation, Argentina, Holy See, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Switzerland and others.
In connection with this tragic date, the Armenian Community of Tbilisi takes the following actions:
April 23, 15:00 - A series of documentary films will be shown at Cinema House
Address: Brother Kakabadze st. 2, Tbilisi

April 23, 18:00 – ”Light a candle” and evening liturgy at the Cathedral Church Surb Gevorg of the Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Holy Church of Georgia.
Address: Samghebros St. 5, Tbilisi.

April 24, 11:00-13:00 - A memorial service will be held at the Cathedral Church Surb Gevorg of the Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Holy Church of Georgia.
Address: Samghebros St. 5, Tbilisi.

April 24, 13:30-15:00 - A peaceful protest action demanding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide will be held at the Embassy of Turkish Republic in Georgia.
Address: Chavchavadze Ave. 35, Tbilisi

April 24, 16:00 - 17:00 - The commemoration meeting devoted (dedicated?) to the 92nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will be organized at the Petros Adamyan s State Armenian Drama Theatre.
Address: Ketevan Tsamebuli St. 8
