All-Boston Concert Raises Over $20,000 for Artsakh

Post All-Boston Concert Raises Over $20,000 for Artsakh

The concert raised over $20,000 for various medical and humanitarian needs.

WATERTOWN, Mass. (A.W.)—An all-Boston concert entitled “United with Artsakh,” which took place on April 29 at the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center (ACEC) of Watertown and featured a number of artists and musicians from the Greater Boston community, raised over $20,000 for various medical and humanitarian needs following the large-scale aggression by Azerbaijani forces on Artsakh’s (Nagorno-Karabagh Republic/NKR) forces and civilian population.

The performers included the Arev Armenian Folk Ensemble, the John Berberian Quartet, Hamazkayin Erebouni Dance Ensemble (Arman Mnatsakanyan, Artistic Director), Zankagner Performing Arts Ensemble (Hasmik Konjoyan, Artistic Director), Meghedi Vocal Group (Marine Margarian, Artistic Director), the Maroukhian Duo, Datev Gevorkian, Gegham Margarian, Markos Shabazian, Zori Babroudi, Shahn Nercessian, Sevag Khatchadourian, and Jasmine Atabekyan accompanied by her children. The event’s Masters of Ceremonies were Ani Khatchadourian and George Barmakian, while organizing committee members offered opening and closing remarks.

At the event, it was announced that 100 percent of the funds collected through the benefit concert would be donated directly to the NKR Ministry of Finance

The event was co-sponsored by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) “Sardarabad” Gomideh, the St. Stephen’s Armenian Apostolic Church and School, the ACEC, the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) “Leola Sassouni” and “Shushi” chapters, the Armenian Youth Federation (AYF) Greater Boston “Nejdeh” chapter, the Hamazkayin Armenian Cultural and Educational Society of Boston, the Homenetmen Armenian Athletic and Scouting Union Boston chapter, the Tekeyan Cultural Association of Boston, The Armenian Assembly of America Boston chapter, and the Knights of Vartan Ararat Lodge. Pavilion Sound Works, the Papken Suni Agoump, Fastachi, Ani Catering, and Seta’s Caf? graciously donated their goods and serviced to the event.

At the event, it was announced that 100 percent of the funds collected through the benefit concert would be donated directly to the NKR Ministry of Finance to support fellow Armenians in need. During the event, letters to the families of fallen heroes were signed by all in attendance.
