Last Night will be Moby's ninth studio album and is to be released on 31 March 2008 in the United Kingdom and 1 April 2008 in the USA. The first single will be "Alice". and the second single will be "Disco Lies".

The album was recorded in Moby's home studio in Manhattan, New York and features a number of guest vocalists, including MC Grandmaster Caz, one of the writers of "Rapper's Delight" (on "I Love to Move in Here"), Sylvia from the band Kudu, British MC Aynzli and the Nigerian 419 Squad.

On his official website, Moby stated that this album is "a lot more dance-oriented and electronic than my last few albums, probably as a result of all of the DJ'ing I've been doing lately", and he also wrote that:

"Last Night is basically a love letter to dance music in New York City. What I love about the New York approach to dance music is the eclecticism and the open minded-ness on the part of the musicians, the DJ's, and the people in the bars and clubs. In making Last Night, I essentially tried to take a long 8 hour night out in New York City and condense it into a 65 minute long album."

Moby recently mentioned in a journal entry on his website that the track "Disco Lies" from Last Night appears in the new film Cloverfield. The song is played at Rob's farewell party and on the Cloverfield Mix.

Цитата Ветераны рок-н-ролла The Rolling Stones выпускают отдельным релизом саундтрек к своему недавно презентованному фильму «Shine A Light». Поскольку картина принадлежит к жанру концертных документалок, то и грядущий релиз - логично - будет представлять собой концертный «live».
Издание будет доступно в трех форматах: в виде одинарного и двойного CD, а также на устройстве хранения памяти а-ля «флэшка». Все три разновидности саундтрека «Shine A Light» появятся в продаже 31 марта.
Основой фильма «Shine A Light» Мартина Скорцезе стал материал, отснятый режиссером и его командой в ходе двух выступлений Rolling Stones в нью-йоркском Beacon Theatre в 2006-м году. Во время этих концертов музыканты исполняли песни разных периодов своей карьеры - начиная от «Paint It Black» и «Sympathy For The Devil» и заканчивая композициями со своего последнего на сегодняшний день альбома «A Bigger Bang».

Mick Hucknall steps away from Simply Red with his first ever solo album - ‘Tribute To Bobby’, a collection of soul classics originally recorded by the legendary Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland. After an illustrious career with Simply Red, Hucknall decided to do something different, and last June, he emerged from his home recording studio with a brand new album, a tribute to Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland – one of his heroes and inspirations.
“His music has this sophistication to it, a jazz tinge. There’s also the darkness of his lyrics – Bobby sings with a really twisted pain and sorrow. He’s one of the vocalists who influenced my singing style long before I became a slave to pop success”.
A master class in soul, blues and R&B, Hucknall transforms the thoughtfully selected covers into his own, and succeed in producing an intensely passionate and diverse album.
Produced by long time collaborator Andy Wright, the album is characterised by Hucknall’s striking emotional honesty, musical sincerity and his utterly unique voice. Embracing the spirit of Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, one of many standout tracks on the album is ‘Stormy Monday Blues’, a thriving journey into the world of jazz and blues.
Other highlights on the album are many and include the first single 'Poverty' and ‘Cry Cry Cry’, a raw and soulful track that fits Hucknall perfectly. Alongside ‘I’ll Take Care Of You’, ‘I Pity The Fool’, and the stellar ‘Farther Up The Road’ means the album is consistently rewarding and hugely addictive.
